Long before we were at the inspection stage, they provided a comprehensive marketing plan to sell my home. They don’t just provide lip service, but follow through with every detail, from hosting open houses, providing flyers, advertising in the newspaper, and putting my house on the tour of realtors. When it comes to handling the myriad of papers required, they are perfectionists, looking out for my best interests every step of the way, always remaining unruffled, which helped to reduce stress during the negotiating process of the selling and purchasing phases. Once we had a signed contract, they stayed on top of the lender to ensure that the closing occurred as scheduled. Vickie even came to the high school where I teach to provide moral support when I met the title agent to close on the house that I sold.

Furthermore, I can’t stress enough how they excelled at keeping the lines of communication open. They updated me at least once a week while actively looking for a buyer for my home. They are always quick to return phone calls or e-mails. They monitored activity on the computerized lock box and contacted the agents who brought potential buyers through my house for feedback.

After a great deal of consideration my husband and I recently purchased a townhouse in Tempe, Arizona as a rental/ investment property for our son to live in while attending ASU.  Although the process of looking for and purchasing a home is rarely an easy and stress free experience I can honestly say that our agents, Vickie and Art Semler, went out of their way to make this purchase a very positive experience.

As 2009 begins, I find myself reflecting on last year and the many changes that occurred for me.  Of all the changes, the biggest was purchasing a home on my own. I think back to 2008 and recall that when I met Art, it was early April. We met at an open house and he called me to follow up within a few days. When I told him the house we met in wasn’t the one for me, he began inquiring as to what I was looking for. The timing was bad for me, so I asked him to wait and call me the end of May, after school was out.

I cannot tell you how surprised I was to answer my phone the day after school was out – the day I asked him to call me – and hear Art on the other end. It was truly a pleasant surprise. That was the moment I decided you guys would be my realtors. To make things even better, when Art called, he had properties ready to go and he was ready to find the perfect home for my son and I.  What Art didn’t realize was that I was to be the biggest challenge ever to cross his path. Finally, in November, we closed on the perfect house.
